Line Cook
Line Cook executes culinary operations on assigned stations with precision and efficiency, ensuring adherence to recipe specifications, food safety standards, and service excellence. Maintains operational readiness through proper mise en place, sanitation protocols, and seamless collaboration with kitchen personnel.
Scope of Responsibilities:
- Execute menu items to specification on assigned stations, ensuring consistency in recipe adherence, portion control, plating presentation, and quality standards during all service periods
- Establish and maintain station readiness through completion of daily prep lists, adherence to par levels, and proper organization of mise en place to support efficient service flow
- Maintain comprehensive food safety and sanitation compliance, including temperature monitoring, proper food handling procedures, HACCP guidelines, and completion of required documentation logs
- Manage product lifecycle through proper storage, labeling, dating, and rotation using FIFO methodology to minimize waste and ensure product quality and freshness
- Communicate effectively with expo, fellow line cooks, and kitchen leadership to ensure seamless ticket execution, timing coordination, and resolution of service challenges
- Break down and clean assigned station post-service, ensuring equipment maintenance, deep cleaning protocols, and readiness for subsequent shift operations
- Support kitchen operations through cross-training on multiple stations, assisting with inventory counts, and mentoring junior kitchen staff on techniques and standards

Work Environment
This position operates in a kitchen setting. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but not limited to, cuts, slipping, falls, and burns.
Physical Demands
The employee is occasionally required to stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions, and ability to adjust focus.
