Laundry Attendant Home 2 Suites Birmingham Colonnade

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team at Home 2 Suites Birmingham Colonnade. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our hotel environment, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Duties

• Operate washing machines and dryers to launder hotel linens and guest clothing.
• Sort, wash, dry, and fold items according to established procedures.
• Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed for delicate fabrics or special requests.
• Inspect items for stains or damage before processing and report any issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
• Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and report any maintenance needs.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred, particularly in a hotel setting.
• Familiarity with dry cleaning processes is a plus.
• Ability to operate laundry equipment efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality cleaning standards.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
