Laundry Aide
Granite Nursing and Rehab, LLC is hiring a Laundry Aide.
Under the direction of the Housekeeping / Laundry Supervisor, the Laundry Aide is responsible for ensuring Facility linen and resident's personal clothing are properly
collected, sorted, laundered, distributed and/or stored according to Company policy.
Only 7 minutes from Downtown St. Louis and we are on the MCT Bus Route in Granite City

Duties:
Provides a safe, clean environment for residents in accordance with Resident Care
Policies and Procedures.
Demonstrates ability to adjust to changes in shift assignments to meet Facility needs.
Handles all laundry in accordance with sanitary guidelines.
Sorts all soiled laundry into appropriate categories. Lifts and carries loads of laundry to / from cleaning equipment.
Washes, dries, folds, and hangs all laundry neatly and properly.
Identifies personal laundry with resident's name and re-marks personal clothing items, as needed.
Returns clean resident laundry to appropriate rooms and supply areas.
Cleans dryer filters every 2 (two) hours, keeps laundry area clean, machines dusted, and floor mopped weekly.
Works in cooperation with other employees of the Facility to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for both residents and staff.
Interacts with residents and family members, co-workers, clinical and ancillary staff in a non-judgmental, supportive and calm manner.
Addresses family satisfaction issues immediately by reporting them to the Supervisor in a professional manner.
Participates as assigned in the orientation of new staff and demonstrates a positive, helpful, and enthusiastic attitude.
Performs Housekeeper duties as needed.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must possess proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills;
proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills; decision-making skills, basic computer skills; and be able to operate various medical and/or office equipment.
Must demonstrate knowledge of safety techniques.
Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.
Experience in a related field.
