·         Shift Premiums: $5.00/hour for afternoon, midnight, Saturday, and Sunday shifts

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Launderer to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining clean, well-organized linens and clothing to support daily operations. You will perform various laundry-related tasks, such as sorting, washing, drying, folding, and delivering laundry items, while ensuring cleanliness and safety in the laundry environment. Key Responsibilities:

·         Sort, load, and unload laundry items including linens, garments, and other materials.

·         Inspect laundry for stains, tears, or other issues, and report these to the supervisor.

·         Fold, stack, and organize clean laundry for distribution.

·         Deliver clean personal laundry to resident rooms and ensure it is put away properly.

·         Transport clean facility laundry to designated areas.

·         Maintain the cleanliness of the laundry room, equipment, and surrounding areas.

·         Keep accurate records of laundry cycles, inventory, and supply usage.

·         Occasionally mend or make minor repairs to residents’ personal clothing.

·         Follow proper procedures for handling laundry chemicals and cleaning supplies.

·         Ensure timely completion of all laundry tasks.

·         Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and safety rules.

·         Assist supervisors and team members with other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

·         High school diploma or equivalent.

·         One year of commercial or institutional laundry experience is preferred.

·         Strong attention to detail and excellent attendance.

·         Positive interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, residents, and visitors.

·         Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds.

·         Ability to work in an environment with occasional exposure to unpleasant odors and cleaning chemicals.

·         Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Working Conditions:

·         Works in a laundry room environment with noise, frequent interruptions, and possible exposure to unpleasant odors, chemicals, and cleaning agents.

·         Position requires standing, walking, lifting, bending, and sitting for extended periods.

·         Compliance with the organization’s dress code is required.

·         Potentially dangerous equipment is used and maintained.

·         May require working weekends and/or holidays based on staffing needs.
