Landscape Construction Production Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
ND Landscape Services has been a leading provider of Full-Service Landscaping in the North Shore and Metro North area since 1980. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the transition from sales to production, ensuring timely project kick-offs and clear communication with customers.
- Resolve customer issues and manage expectations effectively.
- Manage purchasing and subcontractors to meet quality standards and budgets.
- Coach, develop and hold accountable Superintendent(s) so that they achieve deliverables and under full-time crews, assume the responsibility of the Superintendent's role.
- Partner with the Superintendent to ensure that we have a qualified team of “A level” players in the field.
- Monitor project budgets, track revenue and expenses, and achieve financial targets.
- Manage Bad Debt and Warranty Budgets.
- Optimize storage and organization on-site and ensure proper maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
- Implement improvements to increase efficiency and profitability.
- Drive business growth by actively pursuing new construction opportunities and meeting sales objectives.
- Play a lead role in the company’s snow operations.
COMPETENCIES
- Ability to plan project timelines, allocate resources efficiently, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in managing budgets, tracking expenses, and achieving financial targets.
- Competence in optimizing costs while maintaining quality standards and profitability.
- Skilled in leading and motivating teams, including field crews and subcontractors, to achieve project goals.
- Competence in implementing process improvements to enhance productivity and profitability.
- Skilled in building and maintaining strong client relationships to drive business growth.
- Skilled in evaluating complex problems, assessing alternatives, and making informed decisions.
EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of experience in production management. Experience in Landscape Construction preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience in coaching and developing staff, holding them accountable, and managing performance
- Proficiency with general office software, including MS365
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Regularly walk, climb, and inspect construction sites.
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Spend extended periods standing or walking on job sites.
- Exposure to various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
- Use hand tools and operate equipment as needed.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- $85k-$95k annual base salary + bonus potential
