We are the neighborhood meat market but do so much more. The word is quickly spreading about our artisan pizza, wedgie sandwiches, fully prepared chef-crafted meals and our Dry Age Beef program. Our market features some of the most sought-after small batch locally produced goods, apparel, and whiskey/bourbon. In less than a year we were featured in Madison Magazine, The CapTimes, The Wisconsin State Journal, The Deforest and Waunakee Neighbors magazine, Best Pizza and Best new business in Deforest / Windsor, Nominated for Best Butcher and Best Specialty Market in Madison, and with the food blogging community.

At B+D we are committed to providing our customers with superior service and products in the most responsible and sustainable manner. We value our farming partners and work together to support our local agriculture and community. As a Customer Service Associate, you're the first to welcome guests to the shop! You're responsible for processing all sales transactions, including grocer items, retail, and eatery items. You will oversee stocking and maintaining store shelves, updating point of sale pricing, serving and making specialty cocktails, and answering the phones. The customer service associate is an extension of the kitchen where you will work closely with the culinary team to identify and retrieve customer orders.

The summer is our busiest time of the year. Cashiers are responsible for daily set up and service of all batch cocktails, Bourbon pours and when scheduled, running the Yard Bar. The Yard Bar operates during our Summer Live Music Series on Friday evenings from May to September. Job duties consist of setting up, serving, and handling all sales transactions of canned cocktails, Beer, Wine, and batch cocktails.

Key Requirements:

1 year of customer service experience is preferred.

Must be 18 years or older (For the sale of Alcohol)

Good understanding of retail

Full-time and part- time available.

Task-driven individual

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Wisconsin Alcohol Training Certification (Can be facilitated once hired)

Pay: Ranges from $13-$16/hr based on skill level and ability to learn. 60 - 90 day review with potential increase.

Immediate Tip Pooling Program added to your hourly rate and paid out each paycheck biweekly (Ranges from approx. $2 an hour in the winter to $5 an hour in the summer).
