Cameo Consulting Group, LLC a management consulting practice based out of Alexandria, VA, is seeking a qualified and available HR Classification Specialist to support a prospective Federal client in Arlington, VA. The position is full-time, onsite , and available upon contract award.

TASKS AND DUTIES:

Candidate shall provide the full range of recruitment/staffing duties to produce the following:

  • Provide subject matter expertise on organizational design and structure, federal job position classification, position management, compensation administration, FLSA coverage, and the adjudication of employee appeals (i.e., on job grading, position descriptions);
  • b) Assist with federal position classification, position management, compensation administration, job analyses, and compliance with FLSA coverage;
  • c) Administer and maintain the Position Description (PD) Library (e.g., activate, deactivate, abolish PDs; assign PD numbers to new agency PDs, etc.);
  • d) Administer and maintain a library of organizational charts for the agency;
  • e) Assess and make recommendation regarding validity of employee requests for promotion stemming pursuant to the accretion of their duties;
  • f) Provide position management advisories to management, when and as requested;
  • g) Conduct comprehensive reorganization and/or realignment studies related to DEA Program Office reorganization and/or realignment efforts pertaining to special requests and backlogs of work within the program area;
  • h) Conduct comprehensive federal occupational studies and job position.
  • Collaborate with Business Operations Recruitment and Staffing Unit (DRH) Staffing Section on developing the applicable Selective Placement Factors and Quality Ranking Factors for specific job positions, when and as requested;
  • Research and recommend competitive level codes (CLCs) required for DEA job positions to be in compliance with all applicable federal laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Review requests for personnel actions (SF-52s) for position management and proper position description number

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • 4+ years of Federal Classification experience
