Housekeeper (Seasonal)
Job Summary
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of guest rooms, common areas and hotel facilities. This position plays an important role in providing guests with a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Due to the property layout, buildings in varying weather conditions, including snow during winter season.
Responsibilities
Clean assigned guest rooms, common areas, offices, storage units and outside property according to preset standards and procedures. Duties include, but are not limited to making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning cars, carpets and trash pick up.
Empty wastebaskets and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas according to preset standards and procedures.
Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, writing supplies, and bathroom items according to preset standards and procedures.
Keep all storage rooms and equipment neat and orderly according to preset standards and procedures.
Turn in all articles found in vacated rooms immediately and handle according to lost and found procedures.
Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or lost and found items to supervisor.
Ensure all rooms meet meet hotel cleanliness and presentation standards before guests check in.
Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines.
Provide excellent customer service and respond to guest request when needed.
Work efficiently to complete daily room assignments within scheduled shift.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Pay Range
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous hotel or housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
Ability to work in team environment.
Must be reliable and and maintain a professional and positive attitude.
Good English communication skills required for interaction with hotel guest.
