Position Summary
The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and public areas to provide a pleasant and safe environment. This role requires attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, sanitize, and refresh guest rooms according to brand and hotel standards.
- Change linens, make beds, replace towels, and restock amenities.
- Clean bathrooms, including toilets, showers, sinks, and mirrors.
- Dust, vacuum, and maintain cleanliness in all assigned areas.
- Report maintenance issues, lost and found items, and room status updates.
- Maintain housekeeping carts, storage areas, and equipment.
- Follow proper sanitation, safety, and cleaning protocols.
- Provide friendly, courteous service to guests when encountered.
- Ensure compliance with IHG brand cleanliness standards.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs throughout the shift.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
