Key Housekeeping Duties and Responsibilities
- Guest Room Cleaning: Cleaning and sanitizing bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas, including dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors.
- Linen & Room Turnover:Stripping beds, replacing dirty linens and towels, and making beds to hotel standards.
Amenity Replenishment: Restocking toiletries, towels, soap, shampoo, and other guest amenities.Public Area Maintenance: Cleaning hallways, lobbies, public restrooms, and other common areas to ensure a tidy environment.Sanitization: Disinfecting high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, elevator buttons, and light switches.Laundry Operations: Washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens, towels, uniforms, and guest valet items.Maintenance & Reporting: Identifying and reporting maintenance issues (leaks, broken lights, damaged furniture) and safety hazards to management.Lost and Found: Properly documenting, logging, and turning in items found in guest rooms.Inventory Management: Tracking cleaning supplies, guest room amenities, and informing supervisors of low stock.Guest Service & Requests: Responding promptly and courteously to guest needs, such as delivering extra pillows or cleaning up spills.
