Job Description: Home Team Coach
Reports To: Home Team Supervisor
POSITION: Responsible for coaching the fundamental skills of skiing/riding as they apply to alpine racing and/or all-mountain skiing or snowboarding. The position is part-time, from mid-December to mid-March. The winter schedule is one or two days per week Saturday and/or Sunday. Six hours per day.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience coaching U8 and older athletes the fundamentals skills of skiing and current ski racing techniques (preferred).
USSS Coaching Certification (preferred)
Professional deportment
Proficient communication skills
Essential:
· Must enjoy working with children of all ages.
· The employee is regularly required to stand for periods up to six hours at a time in ski boots; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; must talk and hear through walkie-talkies. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close/distant vision. Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
· Must be able to ski at an advanced level.
· Ability to perform essential duties efficiently and accurately, with or without reasonable accommodations and without injury to incumbent or others.
· US Ski and Snowboard coach license including Safe Sport Certification and background screening
