Full and/or Part-time Position available for Infection Prevention and Control Specialists or registered nurses with clinical experience to work in non-healthcare settings.  100% telework.  MAY require some travel in excess of 30 days.  Proof of educational degrees and, if applicable, Certificates of training in Infection Prevention and Control will be required.

CIC is desired but not mandatory.  Basic computer skills (MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and good interpersonal communication skills are required.  Excellent writing skills is highly desirable.  Travel, primarily within the US, will be a component of these positions. 

 

1. The Health Safety Supervisor (HSS) leads the Health Safety Team (HST) of a TV or film production for the purpose of preventing and/or controlling the spread of COVID-19.  This includes the development, oversight and coordination of the following activities for the production: 

·         Development and/or input to the production specific COVID Implementation Plan

·         Responsible for following the IP plan and protocols

·         Meet with the Departments and ensure IP plan is communicated

·         Manage the on-set Health Safety Team, ensuring team members will be deployed appropriately, tasks are delegated and completed, and all safety protocols are followed.

·         Will monitor the days and hours of the team to balance days off. Daily assignments stagger shift assignments. Responsible for the communication of the budgeted hours with finance as needed.

·         Assist with assignments of the production assistants.

·         Administer screenings (questionnaires and temperature checks) to all staff, faculty, crew, talent, etc., at the key access point.

·         Follow HIPPA guidelines/regulations while handling confidential information discovered during screening.

·         Ensure that a minimum of (6) feet physical distancing is maintained throughout the facility by employees and contractors when social distancing is not possible and limits gatherings of any size.

·         The HSS uses physical distancing calculations to provide guidance for specified spaces on a set.

·         Ensures PPE and other needed supplies are adequate and maintains proper inventory.

·         Ensure facial mask and eye protection adherence 

·         Assigns or assists with lunchtime monitoring. Intervene if cast or crew is not adhering due to socializing.

·         Ensure hand hygiene or handwashing is offered and maintained throughout the Production.

·         Monitors that zones are adhered to by individuals.

·         Co-manages the cleaning team with HSM, with Production.

·         Assist with disinfection or environmental surfaces or overseas hygiene/cleaning team.

·         Ensure that initial training and ongoing education of cast and crew.

·         Leads or participates in COVID daily safety meetings.

·         Monitor key points of entry, egress, and traffic flow areas to ensure proper social distancing—place signage at each location.

·         Reviews end of day testing report from testing coordinator. Addresses any issues that need to be addressed with production.

·         Carefully assesses the concierge testing of individuals and keeps production aware.  Forwards e-mails for Trifecta Supervisor of the Production approval of extra testing if added.

·         Responsible for recommendations for the on-site testing location.

·         Interprets the COVID testing types Antigen, Antibody, PCR, rapid, etc.

·         Report cases of positive or negative COVID to the individual, the Production.

·         Summarizes the timeline and positive COVID cases

·         Monitors the set for positive COVID and does the tracking and tracing for possible clusters

·         Reports clusters to the Health Department

·         Reports if any positive on set Film/Industry COVID transmitted cases to the Film set Health and Safety Health person for OSHA reporting.

·         Manage the removal/return to work process of the potentially infected cast and crew

·         Checks on positive COVID Crew or Cast members

·         Checks on quarantined Crew or Cast and instructs them on protocols. The Production follows up with the individual's needs.

·         Scouts the location layout for pre-zoning plan

·         Ability to manage and effectively communicate escalated issues

·         Response to union complaints/concerns- Communicate with Brandon immediately of any union concerns.

·         Develop action plans for union complaint/concerns

·         Guides on regulatory and legislative matters (OSHA, ANSI, etc.) to the project(s) and assist with compliance inspections and activities when required

·         Develops action plans for concerns, violations, or compliance.

2. The HSS would consult with the production on the hiring of the Hygiene Crew and the Security Unit.

a. The HSS primarily works with the Producers, UPM (Line Producer or quivalent on multi-camera productions), 1st AD/Key SM, Department Heads and the Health Safety Manager (HSM).

b. The HSS provides oversight to the testing process (assigning medical personnel to posts, gathering biological material for transport to the testing lab, collecting/maintaining all related paperwork), and is among the first recipients of the test results, which will be kept confidential except as permitted to be disclosed and used. If there is a Test Coordinator, the HSS provides oversight and support. The Lab Medical Director is responsible for notification of positive COVID-19 test results to all individuals entitled to notification under these protocols.

c. The HSS ensures that all cast and crew complete a daily attestation form that screens for symptoms and potential exposure to COVID 19.

 

The HSS, with their team, monitors the cast, crew, catering and craft service for compliance with Zone protocols.

e. The HSS ensures that all sets, locations and workplaces are prepared for and managed during use which shall include an assessment of ventilation, air filtration and circulation, and the disinfecting of surfaces, property, equipment and tools.

f. The HSS also works with the HSM to coordinate placement of handwashing, sanitizing, and disinfection stations and any medical posts.

g. Along with the 1st AD/Key SM, the HSS gives instructions at the daily safety meetings. The HSS can ask the 1st AD/ Key SM to stop any time during the day for a meeting to give further or revised health safety instructions.

h. The HSS shall be provided with the resources and staffing necessary to oversee or to provide directly adequate, daily attention to the many exposure control activities. Examples of this include attention to ventilation (including the use of foggers or atmosphere), PPE selection, fit-testing, and maintenance, and appropriate surface cleaning and disinfecting practices.
