Growth and Retention Coordinator
JM Test Systems repairs, calibrates, certifies, sells, and rents test and measurement equipment, with laboratories accredited to ISO/IEC 17025. Customers count on us for safe, accurate, and timely service, both in our labs and at their sites.
The OpportunityOur onsite services team sends technicians to customer facilities to calibrate and test equipment where it's used. As the Growth & Retention Coordinator, you'll make sure each of those jobs goes smoothly from start to finish: you'll build the quote, plan the job, and see it through to close-out.
You'll be the main link between customers, Corporate Onsite Management, our field technicians, and the Onsite Project Coordinators at our remote locations. You'll write quotes for new and returning customers and keep recurring work on schedule. You'll also confirm that every job is ready before the crew arrives, from site access and power to technician certifications. When this role is done well, customers renew, jobs start on time, and technicians show up prepared.
This role suits an organized, proactive coordinator who likes running several projects at once and talking with customers. If you've coordinated service or field work in an industrial setting and want a role with real ownership and visibility, we'd like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities & Outcomes- Write accurate quotes for new and returning customers. You'll gather equipment lists and service needs, build quotes, get management approval, and explain how JM Test Systems stands out from competitors.
- Keep recurring customers on schedule by following our service timeline: you'll send renewal quotes 60 days before equipment expires, then confirm dates, payment, and site readiness at set checkpoints.
- Plan and track onsite jobs across all locations from award to completion. You'll report progress, milestones, and risks to management so problems are caught early.
- Prepare each job site and crew by confirming the scope of work, site contacts, setup area, and power, and by checking that technicians have the required credentials (such as TWIC cards and site safety training).
- Work closely with the Onsite Project Coordinators at remote locations so planning, scheduling, and communication stay consistent from site to site.
- Uphold safety and quality standards (ISO 17025, ANSI Z540, ASTM) and keep technician compliance and site-access records current.
- Turn quotes into accurate orders and keep customer records complete, so every handoff to the field team is clean.
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus 2+ years of experience in project coordination, service dispatch, customer service, or field operations in a technical or industrial setting
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, along with strong number and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and organization skills, with the ability to manage several projects and deadlines at once
- A self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team, and can adapt quickly as priorities change
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb stairs, with occasional work or travel at customer sites
Preferred
- Associate or bachelor's degree in business, operations, or a technical field, and experience with ERP or job-tracking systems
- Customer service experience in oil and gas, and familiarity with calibration, metrology, or ISO 17025
This role gives you real ownership of a growing part of our business. You'll work with customers, technicians, and leadership every day and see directly how your planning keeps customers coming back. You'll learn the technical side of calibration and onsite service and help improve how we plan and deliver jobs. You'll also have room to grow as the company grows.
