Buckeye Lake Yacht Club is seeking a dependable, energetic, and detail-oriented Food Runner / Expo to support our kitchen and front-of-house teams. This role is essential to ensuring accurate, timely food delivery while maintaining the elevated service standards expected in a private club environment.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the liaison between kitchen and service staff
Ensure all plates are prepared according to ticket specifications before leaving the kitchen
Garnish and finalize dishes for presentation when needed
Deliver food promptly and accurately to members and guests
Announce dishes clearly and professionally at the table
Assist servers with clearing and resetting tables as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of expo line and service areas
Communicate effectively with chefs, servers, and management regarding timing and special requests
Support smooth service flow during high-volume periods and special club events
Qualifications
Previous restaurant, club, or hospitality experience preferred
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Clear communication skills
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and club events
