Food Production & Kitchen Prep Team Member

SEASONAL: 3–5 DAYS/WEEK NOW THROUGH JANUARY | SHIFT: 8AM–4PM

WAGE: $15-$17 based on experience

Are you dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoy hands-on work in a busy kitchen?

Bavarian Inn Restaurant is hiring Food Production & Prep Team Members to help prepare the homestyle favorites our guests know and love! From chopping vegetables and preparing signature recipes to assembling sandwiches, arranging platters, and portioning foods, you'll play an essential behind-the-scenes role in keeping our high-volume kitchen ready for service.

We're looking for reliable team members who work efficiently, follow recipes carefully, and take pride in preparing quality food. This is a physically active position involving a variety of hands-on and repetitive food preparation tasks.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Wash, peel, chop, slice, and cube vegetables, potatoes, and other ingredients for use in our signature recipes.
• Prepare sauces, pasta salads, macaroni and cheese, and other menu items following established recipes and procedures.
• Remove cooked chicken from the bone for use in soups, salads, and other recipes.
• Cook, chill, and prepare pasta and other ingredients for cold salads and side dishes.
• Assemble sandwiches, fruit and vegetable platters, and other foods prepared ahead of service.
• Measure, portion, and organize ingredients and prepared foods for cooking and service.
• Operate commercial food preparation equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary work areas while following food safety procedures.
• Work closely with kitchen team members to support smooth and efficient daily food production.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Reliability: Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Your team counts on you to keep daily food preparation on schedule.
• Consistency & Attention to Detail: Ability to follow recipes, measurements, and preparation instructions to maintain consistent food quality.
• Experience: Previous food preparation, restaurant, or commercial kitchen experience is required.
• Efficiency & Teamwork: Ability to stay focused, perform repetitive tasks accurately, and work independently or alongside other team members.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk throughout an 8-hour shift, perform repetitive cutting, peeling, bending, and reaching, and safely lift and move food products and supplies up to 50 pounds.
• Availability: Must be available to work 3–5 days per week, including weekends and holidays, and commit to seasonal employment until January 2027.
