Food and Beverage Manager


Job Description

The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for ensuring guests receive the highest level of food quality, service, and hospitality. This role oversees the hiring, training, scheduling, and development of the food and beverage team while working closely with front- and back-of-house managers to deliver an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who leads by example, promotes teamwork, and maintains high operational standards.

 Employment Type: Full-Time, Salaried Position

Compensation: Competitive salary based on qualifications, experience, and job-related skills.

Essential Functions (include, but are not limited to):

  • Communicate with guests, employees, and management in a clear, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards while anticipating and addressing their service needs.
  • Follow and enforce all company safety, security, and sanitation policies and procedures; report maintenance concerns and safety hazards promptly.
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, schedule, and supervise food and beverage team members.
  • Monitor food quality, service standards, and guest satisfaction; identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Assist with inventory management, inventory control, and ordering.
  • Ensure compliance with all alcohol service regulations and company standards.
  • Manage labor costs and operating expenses while maintaining service excellence.
  • Collaborate with front- and back-of-house managers to ensure efficient daily operations and a positive guest experience.

Minimum Qualifications (include, but are not limited to):

  • Minimum of one (1) year of food and beverage management or related supervisory experience.
  • Experience with the Micros POS system preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cash handling, balancing, and reconciliation procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Dependable with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • TIPS and ServSafe certifications are a plus.
