About McGee’s 72:
McGee’s 72 is an upscale‑casual neighborhood restaurant known for approachable, chef‑driven food and genuine hospitality. Our kitchen culture is professional but down‑to‑earth: we care about clean stations, consistent execution, and taking care of each other during a busy service.
What You’ll Do:
• Work the flat top station on night shifts, 2–3 days per week.
• Cook sandwiches, tacos, and nachos to spec, managing multiple tickets while maintaining fast, accurate ticket times.
• Assist with burger setups so plates are built consistently and leave the window looking sharp every time.
• Bake French onion soups to standard, ensuring proper caramelization, seasoning, and cheese/melt quality.
• Set up, run, and break down your station, keeping it stocked, clean, labeled, and organized throughout service.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, expo, and fellow line cooks to keep the line moving smoothly during busy shifts.
• Take direction and constructive feedback from supervisors and help support less‑experienced cooks on the line when needed.
Who You Are:
• A cook with some solid line experience, or someone ready to step up from prep/entry‑level into a more demanding station role.
• Comfortable working a flat top or hot line, or confident you can quickly learn with support and training.
• Focused on details and consistency, able to follow recipes, specs, and doneness/temperature standards closely.
• Able to stay calm, move with urgency, and keep your station organized when the pace picks up at night.
• A team player who listens well, accepts critique without ego, and is looking to grow with McGee’s 72 and take on more responsibility over time.
Schedule & Growth:
• Part‑time role: 2–3, night shifts per week (specific days to be discussed during interview).
• Training on our menu, recipes, flat top systems, and standards, with the expectation that you will own the station with consistency and speed.
• Clear path to more shifts, additional stations, and advancement within the McGee’s 72 kitchen for strong performers.
