Position Summary

MFort Security Services is seeking an experienced Training & Compliance Specialist with a strong background in the security industry. This individual will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging, practical training programs for security officers, clients,  supervisors, and other field employees.

This role goes beyond classroom training. The Training & Compliance Specialist will work closely with Human Resources and the Operations team to ensure employees are properly trained, understand their responsibilities, remain compliant with company and client requirements, and are prepared to successfully perform their roles in the field.

Key Training Responsibilities:

  • Conduct new-hire orientation and ongoing training for security officers, supervisors, and field employees.
  • Develop and deliver safety, security, customer service, supervisory, and site-specific training.
  • Create professional training presentations, handouts, quizzes, newsletters, and other educational materials.
  • Conduct training at the MFort office as well as at various client locations.
  • Assist with the development, review, and implementation of site-specific post orders and training materials.
  • Train employees on post orders, client expectations, company policies, emergency procedures, report writing, and other job-related responsibilities.
  • Provide additional coaching and development for supervisors and employees who may require refresher or corrective training.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and identify areas where additional employee or supervisor development may be needed.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of field operations in order to ensure training reflects the actual responsibilities and expectations of MFort employees.
  • Ability to track and maintain employee training, certifications, compliance requirements, and deadlines.
  • Ability to assist with recruitment, interviews, and candidate evaluations as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in the security industry is strongly preferred, particularly in a training, supervisory, field leadership, or compliance capacity.
  • Previous experience conducting employee orientation, safety training, security training, or professional development.
  • Strong public speaking, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to create professional PowerPoint presentations, training materials, newsletters, and written procedures.
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills.
  • Comfortable training both small and large groups.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple training and compliance deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with HR and Operations.
  • Willingness to travel to MFort client locations throughout the Chicagoland area as training needs arise.
  • Must be flexible with scheduling when training, orientation, or operational needs require hours outside of the standard schedule
  • Must pass a drug screening and background check

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Monday - Friday 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM
  • Compensation: $55,000-$60,00 annually, based on experience
