 The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, one of Montana's AAA Four Diamond resorts, is seeking a Restaurant Expeditor to work with our Food & Beverage Team $18 hourly + Tips.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION PURPOSE:

The Restaurant Expeditor, or Food Runner, is to create the finest experiences for our guest; provide exceptional service with a sincere desire to serve, accurate delivery of food items, and maintains quality control of food before delivery.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver food items to guests quickly and accurately.  
  • Maintains organization of food on the expo line. 
  • Is last quality control of food before delivery to a guest.  
  • Knows the table numbers and seat positions of the restaurant 
  • Maintains clean and organized work areas. 
  • Strong knowledge of menu. 
  • Respects guest right of way. 
  • Assures complete food order delivery. 
  • Notifies manager of unhappy guests. 
  • Performs assigned side work duties. 
  • Can clearly communicate well with guests and co-workers. 
  • Assists managers/chefs as directed.  
  • Able to deliver room service accurately. 
  • Maintains a professional image.  
  • Maintains professional working relationships 

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

Requirements:

  • May be required to assist service staff during peak periods. 
  • Lift 50-pound trays during shift. 
  • Must be able to multitask under stress. 
  • Must be organized and remain calm during the shift. 
  • Dressed neatly and well-groomed in company always approved uniforms. 
  • At times works in a hot and cold climate. 
  • Exposed to hazards that may include broken glass, bottles, plates, burns, slips and falls.
  • Ability to walk and stand for a 6–8-hour shift.  
  • Communicate clearly with guests and co-workers. 
  • Required to carry trays with food, drink, bus tubs, or supplies.
