Marine Electrician - Bay Ferries Limited

Bay Ferries Limited is currently accepting resumes for an Electrician.

Bay Ferries Limited operates the Fundy Rose between Digby, Nova Scotia and Saint John, New Brunswick. This is a year-around ferry service that employs approximately 150 people. 

Desired qualifications:

• Valid Red Seal or equivalent certification.
• 3+ years' experience in electrical industry.
• STCW Course
• Experience in a marine electrical field would be an asset.
• Ability to read/interpret drawings, schematics, blueprints, manuals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven track record of safe operations.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Experience with passenger services would be an asset.
• Canadian citizen or permanent residence status for positions in Canada.

Skills:

• Experience in electrical system troubleshooting, such as generators, generator controls, motor controls, fire alarm system, engine alarm systems, and PLC controls.
• Identify, analyzing, troubleshooting, and assisting with repairs of equipment & electrical faults.
• Have to ability to work as part of a team or with minimal supervision to execute required tasks.
