Electrical Journeyman
Function: Provide superior service by way of installation, service, and maintenance of
electrical equipment in accordance with all Clearview Solar policies and
procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures at job sites.
- Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.
- Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
- Installs electrical service equipment, devices, and raceways according to NEC standards.
- Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
- Replaces conduit and wiring, circuit breakers, etc. as needed.
- Ensures piping complies with electrical codes.
- Have a fundamental understanding of AC/DC circuitry and electrical components in solar energy applications.
- Knowledge of battery bank installation, maintenance, and charging systems.
- Connects electrical systems to service entrance to provide electricity to the building.
- Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Work safely on roofs for an extended period and in all weather conditions.
- Safely ascend and descend ladders.
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite.
- Performs specific job functions as they relate to work orders

Work Environment:
- Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, and driving.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs while using proper lifting techniques, stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out and above shoulder, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull.
- Must endure regular exposure to all weather conditions, including hot, cold, humid, and rainy during all seasons throughout the year.
- May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated.
- Must wear proper Personal Protective Equipment as required by work tasks, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, steel toe/composite toe boots and high visible vest when working on-site.
Qualifications Required
- Highschool Diploma or GED
- NCCER Certification and 3 years’ experience, or 5 years’ experience under licensed electrician.
- Hold or be able to obtain OSHA 10
- Ability to travel to various job sites throughout the US
- A high level of time management, accountability, and prioritization skills.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills, strong level of interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional Critical Thinking, Time Management, Accountability, and Prioritization skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals.

- Must have a clean valid driver license.
- Pass a pre-employment criminal background check, driving record check and drug screen.
Preferred Requirements
- Master electrical license
- Processing Journeyman’s license
- Experience in the Solar industry
