Early Learning Assistant/Floater
The YMCA of Collier County is seeking a caring, energetic, and reliable Early Learning Assistant/Floater to support our Early Learning Program serving children ages 2-5 years at our Marco Island Branch. This position works closely with teachers and program leadership to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
Schedule:
This position typically works Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM. For the right candidate with broader availability, there may be an opportunity to expand into a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with classroom activities, curriculum implementation, and daily routines.
- Provide attentive supervision to ensure children's safety and well-being at all times.
- Support classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Help maintain accurate attendance and developmental records.
- Prepare classrooms and playground areas for daily activities and assist with cleaning and organization.
- Communicate positively with parents and families, sharing updates and celebrating children's successes.
- Assist with Kid Zone coverage and serve as a substitute when lead teachers are absent.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Maintain YMCA policies, procedures, and standards while supporting the YMCA's mission and values.

- Must be willing to obtain state mandated 45 hours within 90 days of hire.
- Applicant must be over 18 years of age, with reliable transportation, and must be able to pass a national background and drug screening clearance.
