As Director of Environmental Services, you'll provide leadership for our Environmental Services Department while working alongside an outstanding interdisciplinary leadership team.

You'll:

  • Lead and develop both the Housekeeping and Maintenance teams.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs.
  • Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety, and mechanical systems through routine inspection and repair.
  • Coordinate vendors and outside contractors.
  • Manage work order systems and prioritize repairs.
  • Oversee emergency preparedness and facility operations.
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, Life Safety Code, NFPA, OSHA, and state regulations.
  • Participate in annual surveys and lead Plans of Correction related to the physical environment.
  • Maintain emergency generators, fire protection systems, and other critical building infrastructure.
  • Lead, coach, and develop our housekeeping team.
  • Build schedules and staffing plans that support outstanding resident service.
  • Ensure the community consistently reflects the high standards our residents deserve.
  • Oversee infection prevention practices related to environmental services.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance with state and federal standards.
  • Conduct quality inspections and continuously improve departmental performance.
  • Manage departmental budgets, supplies, equipment, and purchasing.
  • Partner with Nursing, Maintenance, Dining Services, Activities, Infection Prevention, and Administration to create an exceptional resident experience.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance, Safety, and Infection Prevention initiatives.
  • Foster a culture where accountability, teamwork, kindness, and excellence are simply how we do business.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who leads with humility, communicates well, and enjoys helping others succeed.

Qualifications include:

  • Three or more years of leadership experience in healthcare facilities, skilled nursing, hospitals, senior living, commercial facilities, hospitality, or building operations. Experience supervising maintenance operations and mechanical building systems is strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three or more years of supervisory or management experience in environmental services, healthcare, hospitals, long-term care, hospitality, hotels, or a related service environment.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Experience leading teams through coaching, accountability, and professional development.
  • Knowledge of environmental services operations, infection prevention, OSHA, and safety practices preferred.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
