About the Role

As a Civil Design Engineer at R&R, you'll play a crucial role in bringing projects to life. From construction plan submittals to client communication, you'll be at the forefront of innovation and excellence

What You Will Do:

• Independently perform engineering calculations for land development projects.
• Prepare construction plans, site plans, utility networks, grading and surfaces.
• Effectively communicate with team members (internal and external) and interfaces with clients.
• Design, prepare drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and conduct and coordinates design and construction surveying.
• Prepare project drainage reports and stormwater management designs.
• Ability to work as part of a team on large engineering and construction projects.
• Assist in issuing engineering permits; corresponds with developers, contractors, other governmental agencies, and the public on development and public works construction projects.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license can enhance job prospects and credibility, depending on the industry and employer specific requirements.

Knowledge and Skills

• Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools and technologies.
• Knowledge of site plan requirements, proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and experience with grading and drainage design are essential.
• Collaborative Spirit: Work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to deliver outstanding results.
• Problem-Solving: Exercise judgment and self-direction to overcome challenges and find creative solutions.
• Communication: From municipal authorities to clients, effective communication is key. Showcase your ability to convey complex ideas with clarity and precision.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently required to sit, talk, hear, stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, and use hands to fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to lift and move 25 pounds at a time. 

The Position:

The Civil Design Engineer position is full time 40 hour per week, salaried -exempt position working onsite with flexible and hybrid schedule work options. 

The salary range for this role is: $65,000 - $85,000.
