Custodian of Grounds - FULL TIME - Sylacauga AL

Sunbelt Management is seeking a dependable and hardworking Custodian of Grounds to join our team at our Sylacauga, Alabama apartment communities. This full‑time position plays a key role in maintaining the overall appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the property grounds.

Position Summary

The Custodian of Grounds is responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all outdoor areas. This includes mowing, landscaping, debris removal, and ensuring the grounds remain clean and welcoming for residents and visitors. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support property operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform lawn care services including mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing.
• Maintain landscaping beds, shrubs, and trees as directed.
• Keep all outdoor areas clean and free of trash, debris, and hazards.
• Assist with seasonal tasks such as leaf removal and storm cleanup.
• Report maintenance needs or safety concerns to management.
• Complete other duties as assigned to support property maintenance and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or maintenance preferred.
• Ability to operate lawn equipment and perform physical labor outdoors.
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently.
