Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles. As a Controller, you will play a critical role in managing the accounting department, preparing financial statements, and providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Must be familiar with construction WIP.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
- Manage general ledger accounting, ensuring all entries are recorded in compliance
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management.
- Conduct account reconciliation to maintain accuracy in financial records.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation to ensure all accounts are properly accounted for.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting.
- Utilize financial software to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar role within the finance department.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including compliance.
- Proficiency in financial report writing and analysis.
- Experience with account reconciliation processes and balance sheet management.
- Familiarity with various financial software applications to enhance efficiency in reporting and analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration across departments.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
