COMPLETION STRUCTURES TECHNICIAN III

JOB DESCRIPTION


POSITION SUMMARY:

Fabricate, install, assemble, and repair both internal and external aircraft structures and surfaces on VIP aircraft.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Read, interpret, and understand blueprints and other documents to accurately determine the work steps to be performed including correctly sizing and drilling holes for riveting.
  2. Rivet sheet metal and components parts utilizing properly tagged and identified tools.
  3. Aligns and assembles parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
  4. Observes company rules and regulations including housekeeping, proper use of safety methods, and the safe operation of equipment.
  5. Ensure regulatory documentation is complied with and completed in a timely fashion in accordance with the Comlux RSQM and other quality standards.
  6. Complete all sign offs and component removal/installation sheets at time task is performed.
  7. Utilize all resources available to accurately perform the work steps in a safe and timely manner.
  8. Other duties as assigned not specifically stated herein.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:

  1. High school diploma or GED. Relevant trade school attendance is a plus.
  2. 6 years of structures install experience preferably in the corporate aviation completion environment.
  3. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Strong ability to provide verbal and written communication.
  2. With guidance, able to read, interpret and understand blueprints.
  3. Must be self starting and motivated with the desire to learn
  4. Ability to apply the use of routine to complex mathematical problems to solve work issues.
  5. Ability to comprehend and retain OJT.
  6. Must possess a proficient mechanical aptitude.
  7. Ability to read measuring devices such as a scale or caliper or other required tools.
  8. Ability to use basic shop equipment (drill press, band saw, sander, etc).
  9. Ability to use basic hand tools (grinder, drill motor, wrenches, etc).


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment described here is representative of those required by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.

The hangar where this position works is in an environment which may have exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues such as fluctuations in temperature. The employee in this position will experience occasional outdoor exposure to heat, cold, and environmental elements.
