FLEX CMA/CNA varied hours/shifts - full-time

Are you looking for a full-time position with varied shifts?  We're looking for someone who wants to make a difference in people's lives at the Trinity Center and Gardens at Luther Park Community!  As a flex CMA/CNA you will receive premium pay when working any flex shifts each week.  This position does not have a set schedule and will be available to work in the long term/skilled care as well as assisted living.  

Since 1914, Luther Park Community has provided quality services for mature Iowans by meeting their physical, spiritual, social, and psychological needs in its beautifully landscaped community in Des Moines. Trinity Center is a 120-bed Health Center which specializes in Alzheimer's care as well as skilled and long-term care.  As a non-profit, we are able to put our resources into providing better service, care and housing for our residents.

CMAs/CNAs are responsible for providing personal care and assistance of our residents as directed by the unit charge nurse, Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing or designee. CMAs/CNAs will be responsible for helping residents with their personal hygiene including assistance with dressing, grooming, going to the bathroom, feeding and baths/showers. CMAs/CNAs are responsible for observing and reporting changes in residents’ physical and emotional conditions to the unit charge nurse. CMAs may be scheduled to deliver medications as needed.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent

Must be able to fluently read, write and comprehend English
Satisfactory completion of the 75 hour nursing assistant course required
Certified nursing assistant certificate required
Valid and current on the Iowa Nurse Aide Registry through the Department of Inspection and Appeals

Medication Aide certification preferred

A background check, physical, drug screen and TB test are required
