Central Interior Native Health Society (CINHS) is a vibrant urban Indigenous Integrated Health Team Centre and educational facility situated on Lheidli T'enneh territory in Prince George, BC. The Clinic’s inter-disciplinary team provides trauma-informed and culturally safe, medical and psychosocial services to some of the most vulnerable members of our community.


As the Clinical Coordinator, you will lead and inspire the nursing team in our primary health care (PHC) center while advancing equitable care practices. You will oversee clinical operations, mentor nursing staff, and develop policy and procedure guidelines that align with nursing best practices, scope of practice regulations, and the clinic’s equity-focused care model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team of nurses, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment while adhering to collective agreements and organizational goals.
  • Develop and implement new practice guidelines for diverse clinical services, ensuring alignment with patient needs, cultural responsiveness, and nursing regulations.
  • Establish and maintain clinical protocols to guide service expansion, ensuring high-quality, holistic care as the clinic grows to meet evolving community needs.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership, interdisciplinary teams, and administrative staff to align expanded services with organizational strategy, resource allocation, and cultural responsiveness.
  • Engage with community partners to ensure service expansions address local needs effectively and inclusively.
  • Monitor and evaluate nursing practices to ensure high-quality care delivery and adherence to organizational standards.
  • Mentor and support nursing staff in professional development, emphasizing cultural competency, trauma- and violence-responsive care, and continuous improvement.
  • Address gaps in service delivery through data-driven quality improvement initiatives and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Leadership in Clinical Settings: You have experience managing or coordinating nursing teams, particularly in a community or serving clients with complex care needs.
  • Equity-Focused: You are committed to advancing equitable care practices and addressing health disparities.
  • Nursing Expertise: You are a registered nurse with a valid BCCNM license and experience in clinical supervision or coordination.
  • Policy Development: You have experience creating and implementing clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures within the nursing scope of practice.
  • Collaboration: You thrive in interdisciplinary environments and build strong relationships with staff, patients, and community partners.
  • Adaptability: You excel in dynamic settings and proactively address challenges with innovative solutions.
