Summary:

Business Jet Services is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Charter Sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the aviation industry and will be responsible for driving charter trip sales by managing customer relationships, handling bookings, and ensuring the satisfaction of aircraft owners and charter clients. This role requires excellent communication skills, independent decision-making, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong judgment, initiative, and work ethic are essential qualities for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Trip Management: Generate charter sales by providing quotes, following up with clients, and booking trips. Present customized charter flight solutions to meet specific needs of clients.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate with aircraft owners, pilots, maintenance staff, and Flight Operations to ensure smooth scheduling and maximize charter opportunities.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Respond promptly to client requests and resolve complaints to ensure high satisfaction levels for both aircraft owners and charter clients. Follow up after flights to ensure customer satisfaction and address any feedback.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients, as well as industry contacts.
  • Sales Outreach: Actively reach out to regular and potential customers to seek new business opportunities. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
  • Industry Engagement: Represent the company at industry events and functions. Stay informed about industry trends and new market opportunities and/or competitors.
  • On-Call Support: Provide rotational on-call support during nights and weekends as part of a team.

 

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or at least four years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field is a plus but not required.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales goals and objectives.
  • Previous sales or customer service experience is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in charter sales or private aviation a plus.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

 

Skills & Abilities:

  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and scheduling software (FOS) is a requirement.
  • Aviation Knowledge: Familiarity with private aviation, aircraft types, and aviation regulations is beneficial.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate professionally across all levels of the organization and with clients via phone, email, and in person.
  • Problem-Solving: Capable of handling diverse situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively with a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a Dallas Love Field Security Badge.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Must pass company drug and alcohol screening.

Physical Demands:

  • This role involves regular talking and listening through various communication methods such as in person and via phone or email.
  • This role involves frequently sitting at a desk and using a computer, as well as occasional walking and standing for long periods, and lifting objects up to 25 lbs.
  • The employee will work in an office environment and around aircraft with moderate to loud noise levels.
