What You Will Do

You will support the Carrier Relations Manager, processing standard contracts and negotiations and solutions for mid-range service qualifications.

  1. Completes mid-range service qualifications in a timely and accurate manner. Negotiate with carriers to secure the best price, terms, and conditions. Work with Carrier Relations Managers as required.
  2. Maintain carrier relations by maintaining regular, scheduled communications and positive interactions to achieve reliable service and ease of doing business.
  3. Identify concerns with carriers and work collaboratively and creatively to resolve issues; escalate to Carrier Relations Managers as needed.
  4. Assesses the ability of carriers to meet quality and delivery requirements; creates and reports carrier scorecards based on performance, metrics, and departmental concerns.
  5. Sources new potential carriers and refers them to Carrier Relations Managers
  6. Work with Carrier Relations Managers to onboard new carriers
  7. Review, prepare, and execute client service orders for sign-off according to iTel Levels of Authority. Assesses profitability and adherence to contract and order requirements. Engages Carrier Relations Managers as needed.
  8. Investigate and report on errors and assist with maintaining the iTel service-qualification tools and footprint.
  9. Ensure Carriers are documented, onboarded, and communicated throughout the organization appropriately. Actively participates in updating documentation.
  10. Assist Carrier Relations Managers in contract renewals, disputes, SLA credits, and other duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Two years’ previous, recent, and related experience. Post-secondary degree in Business or related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience may be considered.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets experience
  • Understanding and knowledge of the telecommunications industry
  • Proven experience in negotiating and establishing pricing, contract agreements; knowledge of contract terms, conditions, language and content
  • Possesses integrity, confidentiality and high ethical standards
  • Demonstrates initiative, judgment and adaptability; takes a solution-based approach to problems and resolves problems quickly and effectively
  • Possesses strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to organize work, be accurate, set priorities, multi-task and work with minimal direction; ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team, or independently
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationship skills and provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients, carriers, vendors, suppliers and others
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
