Camp Junior Counselor
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Each Junior Counselor is responsible for assisting a counselor, caring for a group of children, and assisting in all aspects of the camp's program's operation. * This is a seasonal program. The program operates from July 20, 2026, to August 21, 2026.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop strong positive relationships with each child.

Help counselors supervise children throughout the day, ensuring their safety and enjoyment of camp.

Help counselors maintain behavioral limits and group order.

Participate in specialist activities, responding to the specialists' directions and requests.

Help counselors plan and carry out activities with their group.

Work with other staff to prepare and participate in special events.

Help keep the site organized and clean.

All other assigned duties.
QUALIFICATIONS

At least 15 years old.

Experience working with children in a formal or informal setting.

High energy, warm and nurturing personality.
Reports to: Unit Head
* All South Shore Stars employees should be able to lift at least 40 lbs. and work in a non-sedentary environment.
