Business Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Scope: The Business Subject Matter Expert (SME) shall perform analysis and advisory assignments to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of the Visa Programs in meeting established organizational performance goals. Assignments involve highly technical analyses using statistical software, database tools, and data visualization tools. The successful candidates will possess a broad understanding and knowledge of the organization and its overall structure, mission, policies, and programs to identify the impact and effect of research projects and recommendations on the organization.
Duties:
Performs highly complex research and analysis of performance plans and provides performance measurement project oversight, reporting directly to OFLC Management.
Develops sophisticated analytical conclusions and recommendations and prepare presentations and reports for the OFLC senior leadership.
Performs highly complex analysis of visa program metrics and makes recommendations regarding future projections to support senior-level oversight and decision-making impacting manpower during peak seasons.
Prepares charts, graphs, and narratives to present performance data on visa programs.
Performs highly complex duties designed to support and improve upon OFLC's Management and program integrity functions.
Proficient in using various query tools, including Query Builder and SQL, Report Builder in MS Access, and Tableau reporting.
Qualifications:
7 or more years of experience in related work for a federal agency
Knowledge of visa program statutes, regulations, and processes, including prevailing wage sources is a plus.
Advanced MS Excel 1 skills include, but are not limited to:
VLOOKUPS, Hookups
Pivot tables and Histograms
Statistical linear regression and correlation analysis, identifying relationships between variables
Random Sampling
Calculating historical growth rates
Data models
