Bulk Packaging Operator – 1st Shift (6am -2:30pm)
Location: Hampstead, MD I Onsite
Department: Bulk Packaging
Reports To: Packaging Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time, 40-hrs/week, occasional overtime required
Position Summary
The Bulk Packaging Operator is responsible for supporting bulk packaging operations by safely and efficiently packaging products, operating equipment, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Report to work on time and maintain dependable attendance.
· Follow all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and GMP requirements.
· Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment.
· Perform product changeovers as required.
· Safely operate hoists and pallet jacks when needed.
· Demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn new tasks.
· Use basic math and comprehension skills to perform job duties.
· Load hoppers with bulk bag material.
· Package products into bags or boxes according to specifications.
· Fill bags and operate sifting equipment.
· Read and verify weights using scales.
· Feed bags through bag-sealing equipment.
· Monitor and understand metal detection and product rejection processes.
· Complete assigned tasks using tablet-based applications and digital tools.
· Use tape guns and other packaging tools.
· Lift, move, and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications / Physical Requirements
· Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
· Bending, stooping, kneeling required.
· Must be able to read production orders to ensure product is labeled correctly.
· Must be able to move about for long periods of time.
· Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
· Must be comfortable using a tablet for routine work tasks and data entry.
Work Environment
· Manufacturing/warehouse setting with exposure to moving equipment, noise, dust particles and varying temperatures.
· Use of PPE required (e.g. safety shoes, glasses, gloves).

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $19.00 - $22.35 - $25.70
