Bookkeeper
The South Okanagan Women in Need Society (SOWINS) is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to join the administrative team.
ABOUT THE ROLE: The Bookkeeper supports a variety of day-to day financial transactions, including accounts receivable and accounts payable using Quickbooks accounting software. The Bookkeeper may also provide support to payroll processing, as needed. The Bookkeeper creates financial reports, and maintains a variety of financial and other records, files and related filing systems.
Schedule: This position is scheduled to work 21 hours per week, working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (9:00 am – 4:30 pm).
Union: This position requires union membership, under Health Sciences Association (HSA).
Wage: HSA Grid 10 ($25.95 – $29.76)
Benefits: Provided in accordance with the terms of the Collective Agreement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Grade 12, plus related post-secondary courses of up to 2 years including bookkeeping, and basic accounting. Experience with QuickBooks is considered an asset.
Two (2) years recent related experience as a bookkeeper in a non-profit organization.
Valid Class 5 Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate 3rd Party Insurance.
Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
