Banquet Server/Setup
The Crowne Plaza Milwaukee Airport is looking to add full-time or part-time Banquet Setup Housepersons to the team. The Banquet Setup Houseperson is responsible for the set-up, maintenance, and takedown of banquet areas according to banquet specifications. Provides the transportation and set-up of tables, chairs, staging, audio-visual and electrical equipment. Stocks necessary supplies and performs basic banquet area cleaning duties. Follows Crown Plaza Milwaukee Airport and brand standards to quality to ensure guest satisfaction.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including 1st and 2nd shifts, weekends and possibly holidays. The position pays $10.00 - $11.00 per hour plus a $200.00 hiring bonus after 60 days.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures each room set-up is accurate and meets the clients’ specifications
- Sets up, maintains, and takes down banquet rooms after service/event has concluded
- Reads and interprets Banquet Event Orders to ensure proper room set up
- Responsible for cleaning and maintaining and the banquet rooms and equipment, and other cleaning duties as assigned
- Anticipates and responds to internal and external customers in a friendly, positive and timely manner
- Willingly assists others within and outside the department to ensure all guests needs are met
- Attends all required department and hotel meetings
Requirements:
- Prior banquet setup experience preferred, but not required.
- Must have demonstrated exemplary customer served, attention to detail and ability to perform job duties in a repetitious and fast-paced environment. Must be able to work independently or on a team.
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs consistently throughout the shift and up to 100lbs occasionally.
- Requires the ability to work in a physically demanding position, with responsibilities such as walking, standing, carrying, lifting, reaching, bending and moving throughout the shift.
