Assistant Branch Manager- Bloomington
SharePoint Credit Union is seeking an experienced Assistant Branch Manager to assist in directing the daily branch operations, ensuring the branch meets organizational, financial, operational, service and growth plans.
This is a full time position: 40 hours per week. Shifts are generally scheduled between the hours of 8:30am-5:30pm Monday Friday, and 9:00am- 12:00pm Saturdays. This role will require 1-2 Saturdays a month.
This position will be on a scheduled rotation between our two Bloomington locations.
Functions:
- Assists branch manager in managing and coaching branch staff such as Financial Service Representatives and Member Service Representatives to efficiently manage branch activities. Assists branch manager with guiding branch staff with vision and strategic focus toward CU and branch goals and objectives. Assists branch manager with promoting branch and credit union growth and sustainability.
- Maintains a thorough working knowledge of SharePoint Credit Union operations such as, but not limited to retail banking and consumer lending operations.
- Coaches and guides branch staff to process as well as assists om processing member financial transactions. including retail banking and depository transactions, IRA maintenance, Safe Deposit Box opening/closing and maintenance, consumer lending objectives such as application data entry for Centralized Underwriting decisioning.
- Monitors department and branch activities for compliance with established policy and regulations. Takes action to resolve any out of compliance issues.
- Keeps management informed regarding key operating issues affecting the branch.
- Maintains a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.
- Regularly meet or exceed loan generation/cross-sell goals.
- Successfully recommend/cross-sell new products or services that will meet members' financial needs.
Education: A two-year college degree or certificate in Business
Administration, Management, Communication, or another related field.
-OR- equivalent experience
Experience: Six months to two years of similar
or related experience.
Interpersonal Skills: Must have exemplary communication skills for
use in training, coaching, and managing others, a significant level of trust
and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work
involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal
or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside
contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities
(companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
