Job Title: Aqua Instructor

Department:  Group Fitness

Job Description:

·         Responsible for teaching Aqua classes of varying formats

·         Must comply with stipulations set by American Arthritis Foundations and generally accepted aquatic standards and guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Develop safe and effective aquatic exercise classes for groups of various fitness levels.

·         Responsible for instructing all aquatic fitness participants, and giving appropriate options and modifications.

·         Plan routines, select music, and choose appropriate movements for well balanced, whole body workouts.

·         Provide safe and effective instruction of equipment used during class.

·         Maintain the safety of aquatic class participants.

·         Maintain and record participant information and data.

·         Act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency.

·         Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service.

·         Attends mandatory meetings and training sessions as scheduled.

Certifications/Requirements:

·         Must hold current aquatic certification from recognized and accredited board or organization.

·         Must have current CPR/AED certification.

Hours:

·         Varied, including evenings and weekends.
