Apprentice Hydraulic Cylinder Technician

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Apprentice Hydraulic Cylinder Technician to join our team. This entry-level position is designed for individuals looking to build a career in hydraulic repair and heavy equipment service. The apprentice will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of the operation, including cylinder teardown, cleaning, inspection, rebuilding, and shop support functions such as shipping and receiving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in disassembly and assembly of hydraulic cylinders of various sizes and applications

• Clean, inspect, and prepare components for rebuild and repair

•      Palletizing parts for shipping.

• Learn proper measurement, inspection, and evaluation of cylinder components

• Support senior technicians in diagnosing cylinder failures and determining repair scope

• Operate shop equipment including parts washers, honing equipment, and basic hand tools

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

• Assist with shipping and receiving, including unloading, tagging, and staging incoming components

• Package completed cylinders and parts for shipment

• Follow all safety procedures and company standards

Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude with a strong willingness to learn

• Ability to use basic hand and power tools

• Strong work ethic and reliability

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a shop environment

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous shop, mechanical, or industrial experience is a plus but not required
