Aftercare Coordinator
General Statement (Summary of duties and responsibilities):
The Aftercare Coordinator is responsible for the services provided to our donor families post-donation served by the Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency. The Aftercare Coordinator reports to the Manager of Family Services. The Aftercare Department provides face-to-face and/or telephone support of donor families, coordination of correspondence between donor families and transplant recipients, and overseeing and coordinating in-person meetings between donor families and recipients. The Aftercare Coordinator oversees correspondence with transplant centers and tissue processors to effectively provide information to donor families.
Education and Work Experience Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, or Theology/Divinity is required, and at least two years of experience working with families in grief is preferred.
