Aerospace Special Process Technician

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Aerospace Special Process Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to build or advance a career in the aerospace industry while working hands-on with specialized processes critical to high-performance components.
In this role, you will contribute directly to the quality and reliability of aerospace parts by executing and supporting a range of chemical and coating processes. You will also play a key role in developing and improving internal capabilities, making this an ideal position for someone who enjoys both technical work and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor chemical processing equipment
- Perform specialized processes such as nickel plating, passivation, and other aerospace coatings
- Prepare components for processing, including masking, surface preparation, deburring, sanding, polishing, and abrasive blasting
- Accurately measure and document chemical compositions and record processing parameters
- Inspect and verify parts post-processing to ensure compliance with specifications
- Complete work orders and maintain detailed quality documentation
- Support the development and documentation of processes and procedures
- Assist in designing fixtures and identifying process efficiencies
- Collaborate with team members on continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform additional duties as required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Post-secondary or other certification in manufacturing, chemical processing, or quality control is considered an asset
- Ability to obtain a criminal record check and pass Controlled Goods Program screening (mandatory)
Experience & Technical Skills:
- 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (preferred)
- Familiarity with industry standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, or NADCAP is an asset
- Experience in machining or aerospace environments is beneficial
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- Understanding of GD&T principles is an asset
- Experience with chemical processing or coatings is considered an advantage

Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
