Administrative Assistant - Student Ministry
JOB SUMMARY
The Administrative Assistant – Student Ministry is responsible for direct support of the Lead Student Pastor and the Student Ministry. This role’s administrative and clerical tasks require a high level of professionalism, and compassion in all aspects of duties and responsibilities. Provide administrative support in all areas of responsibility, including supporting and coordinating varying events, projects, and administrative tasks. Must exemplify an excellent work ethic, be well-organized, and detail oriented.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Directly assist the Lead Student Pastor with administrative duties pertaining to the ministry, including scheduling and communication with families and other departments
- Serve as point of contact for inquiries and initial communication from families connected to the ministry, connecting inquiries with appropriate leaders within the ministry
- Maintain information in the database system of families and students
- Process various departmental reports through the database system
- Maintain general ledger of expense accounts for department
- Complete and submit all necessary forms for the department, including attendance records, check requests, purchase orders, facility requests, room reservations, print shop orders, and other similar tasks
- Order/purchase supplies for the ministry
- Train and oversee office volunteers, as applicable
- Assist in event management of student conference and camp through year-round planning of contracts, bookings, registrations, and operations
- Demonstrate and promote the Five H’s that comprise the core cultural values of the CBC staff, which are Honor, Humility, Hustle, Hospitality, and High Capacity
- Assist the Lead Student Pastor with the meeting agenda for team meetings and other NextGen ministry and staff-wide meetings as they come up
- Other duties as assigned

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a regular full-time position (36-40 hrs). Monday-Thursday 9:00a.m.-5:00p.m. Occasional night and weekend work will be required as job duties demand.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to do the following:
- Must have good or corrected vision as well as effective peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Must have good manual dexterity and be able to use repetitive motion of the hands and arms
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
- Must be able to move about inside the office and file rooms to perform a variety of tasks
- Must be able to frequently and effectively communicate in both written and verbal form
- Must be able to occasionally lift 10-75 pounds and/or push/pull objects up to 50 pounds
- Occasional events/activities outdoors in the heat, occasional events/activities requiring prolonged standing
- Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent, College or Technical School a plus
- 1+ years related work
- 2 years of event coordinating (preferred)
- Experience and knowledge pertaining to working with students/families
- Experience in CBC Groups as either leader or participant is a plus
- Attend worship regularly and special services/events as appropriate
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Duties are performed in a variety of settings to include, outside, office and technical settings where the work and general environment may be fast-paced and hectic at times. Therefore, it is essential that the employee can effectively handle the normal anxieties associated with the job and manage multiple projects in service-oriented environment. Environmental noise levels are minimal.
