Role Overview

The Customer Success Specialist supports the Account Management team in delivering an exceptional client experience at AbaData. This role is the operational backbone, handling client onboarding, day-to-day client requests, technical configuration work, and the administrative and data tasks that keep accounts running smoothly.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys client interaction, has a knack for technical and operational problem-solving, and wants to build a foundation for a future in account management.

Location: Calgary, AB (onsite in NW Calgary)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a responsive point of contact for assigned clients and general account inquiries, working in partnership with Account Managers
  • Handle routine client requests, questions, and changes, escalating more complex or strategic items to the appropriate Account Manager
  • Support new client onboarding by coordinating kickoff activities, gathering required information, and walking clients through initial setup

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and reliable follow-through

  • Track onboarding progress and proactively resolve roadblocks to keep new clients moving toward full adoption
  • Execute technical change requests on behalf of clients, including data updates, configuration changes, and account adjustments
  • Troubleshoot straightforward technical issues and coordinate with Support or Development for anything requiring deeper investigation
  • Maintain clean, accurate, and up-to-date client data across HubSpot and relevant internal systems
  • Perform data entries, downloads, updates, and exports as needed


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role (customer success, client services, or support)
  • Degree or Diploma in Business or Technology is preferred
  • Knowledge of the oil and gas and/or energy industry is strongly preferred
  • Comfortable with technology and learning new platforms, configuring settings, and executing technical change requests
  • Proficiency with HubSpot or similar CRM tools, as well as Microsoft products is preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate client needs into clear actions
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable with follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities concurrently in a fast-paced environment
