Cassena Care at Stamford is actively seeking an In-service Coordinator/Staff Development Registered Nurse to join our energetic team of specialists! You will be responsible for assessing nursing staff educational needs. Planning and implementing instructional programs to meet those needs as well as State and Federal staff training requirements.

 

Job Requirements:

·         Previous home care coordination experience

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·         Staffing Coordinator experience in a large healthcare facility preferred

·         Excellent computer skills required with knowledge of Smartlinx software a plus

·         Minimum Associates Degree

 

Responsibilities to include:

·         Ability to multi-task, think on your feet and prioritize in a demanding office environment

·         Generating 28-day nursing department schedule

·         Maintaining daily staffing levers per established par levels, utilizing a Smartlinx software program

·         The ability to determine staff learning needs.

·         Provides leadership in formulating facility-wide training and education goals and objectives.

·         Develops and presents interactive staff training programs on centralized or decentralized basis as needed.

·         Provides one-on-one remedial training to address inadequate individual job skills/ knowledge

·         Maintains records regarding staff attendance at in-service training sessions

·         Serves as back-up interviewer for nursing department applicants when Assistant Administrator / Nursing, DON, Assistant DON or DONC is not available.
