Marketing Coordinator - Eldorado Resort

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the marketing strategies that drive revenue for the Argus Properties group of hotels; Eldorado Resort, Eldorado Marina, Four Points by Sheraton Kelowna Airport, Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Kelowna Airport and Home2Suites in Fort St. John. Working in conjunction with the Marketing Manager and Director of Sales & Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator’s responsibilities will include the execution of marketing activities that include, but not be limited to the following:


Job Duties & Responsibilities:

•Maintain, update and monitor all social media platforms and web accounts associated with the hotel as directed

•Reply to guest reviews promptly, and escalate feedback as required

•Gather information and prepare reports on the hotels’ web presence traffic, social media platforms, and online marketing campaigns

•Produce hotel direct booking performance reports on an ongoing basis to share with hotel stakeholders and internal teams

•Monitor marketplace competitors as it relates to their social media and web presence

•Execute marketing promotions as directed by the Director of Sales & Marketing

•Assist with writing copy and messaging for ads, brochures, and website, and manage deadlines for advertising, publications, brochures, websites, e-blasts, and internal projects

•Assist with formulating e-newsletters for various market segments, and work with the team to create special offers and packages

•Oversee and update third party meeting planner websites with strong sales messaging, promotions, collateral, and need dates 

•Create and maintain client databases, and segment accordingly

•Set up FAM activities throughout the resorts and prepare FAM tour itineraries for media and marketing partners

•As required, be the on-site liaison between the hotel and tourism partners 

•Works closely with Hotel Operations teams on the marketing and execution of holiday/promotional campaigns for the hotels and restaurants 

•Maintains the integrity of our brands, adhering to Brand Standards while closely monitoring market dynamics and Brand performance.

•Administer and maintain the hotel's photo gallery, logo bank, and all visual and written collateral pieces to ensure that all images and information is current and accurate

•Other duties as assigned


Skills & Requirements:

•1-2 years of marketing experience, ideally in hospitality or a related guest service industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

•Completed Post-Secondary education in a related discipline

•Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint and various Social Media platforms

•Ability to analyze and interpret data trends in Social Media and customer systems

•Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects

•Must be able to work a flexible schedule working weekends and evenings as required

•Sound strategic thinker, effective planning and execution skills with strong analytic capabilities

•Strong customer focus, with the ability to understand key business drivers

•Demonstrated ability to be proactive and anticipate job requirements, takes ownership and resolved issues, can effectively multi-task.

•Communicates effectively internally and externally

•Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

•Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction
