Job Summary
The Human Resource Assistant will execute the daily functions of the Human Resource to ensure effective and efficient operations within the department and ICONA Resorts.

Duties/Responsibilities

- Assists with full cycle payroll functions including processing biweekly payroll for 500+ team members. Responsibilities include manage time keeping system, prepare payroll data, process payroll for multiple locations, answering payroll related questions, process status, salary change, bonuses, benefits, deductions and creating and sending various payroll reports.
- Participates in full cycle onboarding, which includes recruiting, screening, interviewing, onboarding, and terminating Team Members. This process includes hiring J-1 Visa holding students, H-2B Visas, seasonal and full-time year-round.
- Preforms routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices, reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and modern technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Weekly attendance at Aloha Culture meeting.

- Prior working knowledge of payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar applications.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and modern technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Participates in the daily workflow of the department.

Education Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant experience is required.
- Five years Human Resources experience in a Generalist role is required.
