About Us

Skynet Wireless Inc. is a Rogers, Fido and Chatr Authorized Dealer with over 40 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. We operate 19 retail locations across British Columbia, along with a growing Business Sales Division (B2B) and Field Sales Division (D2D) serving business customers across Canada. Skynet also owns and operates businesses in other industries.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to help grow our Field Sales teams. Your primary focus will be recruiting commission-only door-to-door sales representatives for our Field Sales Division, currently in British Columbia and Ontario with plans to expand into other provinces as we grow.

You will manage the recruitment process from candidate sourcing through offer acceptance and onboarding coordination. This is a hands-on role that requires active outreach, strong relationship-building skills and the ability to maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates.

You may also support recruitment efforts for our retail, business sales and other group companies as required, working closely with hiring managers and our HR Generalist.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment and Candidate Sourcing

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle for door-to-door sales positions, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviews, reference checks and offer coordination.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of candidates to support ongoing hiring needs and expansion into new markets.
  • Actively source candidates through Indeed, LinkedIn, social media, referrals, direct outreach and other recruitment channels.
  • Develop relationships with schools, colleges, universities, community organizations and employment centres.
  • Organize and attend job fairs, campus recruitment activities, hiring events and information sessions.
  • Support recruitment for retail, business sales and other roles across the group of companies as required.

Candidate Assessment and Experience

  • Conduct screening calls and structured interviews to assess communication skills, motivation, resilience and suitability for a door-to-door sales environment.
  • Clearly explain the role’s responsibilities, commission-based compensation, performance expectations and working environment so candidates can make informed decisions.
  • Maintain timely communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers, gather feedback and support consistent hiring decisions.
  • Stay engaged with successful candidates between offer acceptance and their start date to support attendance and a smooth transition into onboarding.

Hiring Partnerships and Recruitment Performance

  • Partner with sales leaders to understand hiring targets, staffing priorities, territory needs and training capacity.
  • Work with the HR Generalist and hiring managers to coordinate offers, required documentation and onboarding handoffs.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment activity in the applicant tracking system or recruitment database.
  • Track and report on recruitment results, including qualified applicants, interview attendance, offers, acceptance rates, actual starts and early retention.
  • Evaluate recruitment channels and recommend improvements to job advertisements, sourcing strategies and candidate engagement.
  • Gather feedback from new hires and managers to improve candidate selection and hiring outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Two to five years of recruitment or talent acquisition experience, preferably in high-volume sales, field sales, telecommunications, retail or a recruitment agency environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively source candidates and manage multiple openings at different stages of the hiring process.
  • Experience recruiting for commission-based or door-to-door sales roles is a strong asset.
  • Strong interviewing skills and the ability to assess candidate suitability against clear job requirements.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence conducting outreach and presenting opportunities to candidates.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance hiring targets and candidate experience.
  • Comfortable working toward measurable recruitment goals while maintaining hiring quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, recruitment platforms, social media sourcing and applicant tracking systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain accurate recruitment records.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field is an asset.

Compensation: $60,000–$70,000 annually plus performance bonuses of up to $7,500 in year 1. Salary will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, and the level of responsibility the successful candidate is prepared to take on.
