Social Media Content Creator

The Social Media Content Creator will drive the thoughtful execution of social media, while also managing a related digital content strategy for supporting platforms. This role will provide strategic guidance to leadership and ministries through a wide range of digital and social activities. There is a wide variety of responsibilities depending on ministry needs, ranging from identifying strategies to reaching niche audiences on digital platforms to creating compelling content for key channels.

  • Collaborate on programs and projects designed to enhance and evolve our digital presence including channel strategy, experimentation with new channels and tactics and channel governance
  • Oversee the strategy and day-to-day execution for our social channels including content development and curation, promotion and measurement; facilitate continual innovation and optimization
  • Oversee and maintain a content calendar for all social media and digital properties, and publish posts according to the established social media content calendar
  • Stay current with emerging digital media behavior, trends, and technologies; provide guidance for new tools and technologies as they emerge, verge analytic tools to provide reporting and insights, track and improve metrics and influence testing and strategy
  • Create various forms of social media content—text captions, videos, and images—suitable for the various social media platforms, X, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure that every piece of content is relevant and helps the company maximize engagement, and reach
  • Ensure every piece of content you create aligns with our brand voice
  • Other duties as assigned 


  • Possess strong communication skills in the English language (research, writing, editing, presentation, and verbal)

  • Possess creative and effective problem-solving with exceptional interpersonal skills

  • Ability to maintain professional relationships

  • Ability to respond to emergent or stressful situation in a calm and professional manner

  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, work independently, multitask, and produce results in a high stress environment

  • Ability to turn a concept into compelling content 
  • Must possess intermediate computer skills using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Social Media platforms, content scheduling platforms

  • Experience with basic photography, video and video editing is a plus

  • Proven experience in creating engaging content on different social media platforms—Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube 
  • Ability to incorporate our brand voice and identity in digital content
  • Deep knowledge of social media trends, hashtags, and engagement strategy
  • Excellent strategic thinking, project management, and digital content experience is critical


This is a full-time position (40 hours). Days and hours of operation are generally Saturday through Wednesday. Working weekends is a requirement of this position.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to do the following:

  • Must have good or corrected vision as well as effective peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. 

  • Must have good manual dexterity and be able to use repetitive motion of the hands and arms.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to several hours at one time.

  • Must be able to move about inside the office to perform administrative tasks.

  • Must be able to constantly operate a computer and/or other office equipment such as a calculator, copy machine, or printer.

  • Must be able to frequently and effectively communicate in both written and verbal form.

  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and/or push/pull objects up to 100 pounds.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field or equivalent working experience (required)

  • 2+ years’ experience in brand, marketing, communications, and project management with a passion for social media (preferred)

  • Extensive knowledge  of leveraging social media platforms like Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, and Youtube for the purpose of driving brand awareness and engagement, and campaign execution.

  • Experience with social media publishing platforms and content calendars

  • Experience creating graphics for the purpose of digital marketing


Duties are performed in an office setting where the work and general environment may be fast-paced and hectic at times. Therefore, it is essential that the employee is able to effectively handle the normal anxieties associated with the job and manage multiple projects in an innovative environment. Environmental noise levels are minimal.  Periodic travel to various locations may be required.
