THE ROLE: COMPENSATION & BENEFITS ANALYST

We are seeking an experienced Compensation & Benefits Analyst to take ownership of CubicFarms total compensation initiatives. In this role you will assist the HR & Finance teams build, administer, and communicate the compensation programs and policies that enable the attraction and retention of top talent around the world. You will consistently partner with business leaders, business partners, internal mobility, and external recruiting to provide insights and recommendations to myriad compensation challenges. You will exercise your skills as an analytical thinker who enjoys working with data and knows what it takes to succeed in a high-growth, high-demand evolving tech company.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship or equivalent direct experience in the analysis, design and/or administration of compensation programs is required.

Knowledge of federal, provincial/state, and local regulations. Ideally for Canada & the US.

Strong ability to build relationships cross-functionally and partner with leaders to deliver solutions that meet the business needs.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

Strong ability to build relationships cross-functionally and partner with leaders to deliver solutions that meet the business needs.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving work environment while managing independent workload and juggling multiple priorities.

Advanced Knowledge of MS Office including Excel. 

In-depth knowledge of compensation planning and benchmarking (including stock compensation), market trends, and job creation and evaluation.

Strong quantitative and analytical skills as well as a flawless attention to detail.

A demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy in manipulating data.

Adaptable, love to solve problems both big and small, and have a can-do attitude.

Excel at critical thinking and can find creative solutions to unforeseen situations.

Friendly and personable attitude with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to communicate well and able to build relationships with others to facilitate sharing information around the design/drafting process.

Excellent time management skills ensuring deadlines are always met.

Ability to strive for success in a constantly changing environment. 


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Conduct market pricing activities including job matching, data analytics, and job pricing, including analysis of cash and long-term incentive compensation practices and staffing trends.

Key driver of annual short- and long-term incentive and merit adjustment processes from budget inception through delivery to employees

Collaborate with HR & Finance teams to support and advise managers on compensation related activities such as strategic new hire offers, promotions, etc.

Stay up to date on current compensation-related legislation to ensure compliance with applicable employment-related federal and state statutory requirements regarding employee pay.

Partner with internal and external HR partners to ensure our HRIS supports current compensation programs, assist with report generation to support business needs, and consult on system enhancements to improve the way we do business.

Leading the annual compensation review process – working with leaders across the organization to make data-driven recommendations for their teams. 

Identifies issues, challenges, or problems and recommendation process improvements.

Effectively and responsibly communicate compensation programs and details to all levels within CubicFarms.
