The Program Administrator for the Division of Nursing is responsible for administrative and program support to the Division of Nursing and over 120 full and part-time faculty who offer over nineteen distinct undergraduate and graduate Nursing Programs year round to over 500 nursing students.  Under moderate supervision, this position provides support to the Division Head and chairperson(s) in matters relating to the Division of Nursing including: budgets, division facilities and resources, operational procedures, accreditation, grant procurement and reporting, student and faculty recruitment, over 120 adjunct contracts, admissions to all 19 nursing programs, all administrative and statistical records of the Division, and fundraising and special programs. This Division is the only one in the University that supports Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees. The need for organization and communication skills is critical to the Division’s structure.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree required.

• At least 10 years administrative and/or operations experience, with proven track record for performance required. 

• Ability to use tact and diplomacy in interpersonal relationships

• Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing

• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Ability to make decision in absence of the Division Head and/or Chairs

• Ability to complete work accurately and reliably

• Acceptance of the responsibility to promote the welfare and best interests of the students at all times

• Demonstrate understanding and acceptance of the mission, values, goals, and objectives of DeSales University’s Division of Nursing
